Community Development Worker for the West Wilts Community Club (WWCC), six month contract –  4 hours a week- £11.45 per hour. CD 15/2/2019

Can you work to prevent loneliness and isolation, arrange social activities, do home visits for the older African-Caribbean community of the WWCC. The CDW role is to make sure that individuals can keep in touch with friends, access services, as well as making sure additional needs are noted and referrals made.  The role is based around arranging a monthly lunch club, home visits in the West Wiltshire area and supervising some volunteers.  Home or office based .

This role is funded by the Trowbridge Health & Wellbeing Group.  Closing Date:               Friday 15th February 2019.

WREC also welcome volunteers – Can you provide 2- 4 hours a week or monthly?  Skills needed: supporting people, advice work, IT and social media, board members and fundraising- all expenses paid.

Now a small charity run by volunteers supporting local people where they feel they have been discriminated against or given a poor service. We can help with problems arising in school, college, the workplace or in everyday life especially related to racism and where this crosses over with other equality strands.

    It would be good if a similar service was on offer for working men who have no friends or family within local area and who are further alienated by luck of English language skills. Once a month meeting with others and a first language facilitator would be very beneficial for them.
